The Marker Stones

I decided to spend the morning doing a quick drawing.

The portion of the illustration with the trees and the marker stones are actually part of the woods near my home. They stand on top of a hill surrounded by pathways through the forest.

This started out as a sketch of the real-life woodland area. But seeing as I much prefer to mix fantasy with reality, I decided to veer off from reality and include a bit of architecture. This drawing is part of my "Into the Woods" series.
